Comprehensive Oral Surgery in Buckeye, Glendale & Goodyear, AZ

I had my wisdom teeth removed at Sandstone Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery about two months ago, and now that I’m fully healed, I can say the whole experience was excellent.

If you’re considering wisdom teeth removal, I strongly recommend going to an oral surgeon (OMFS) rather than a general dentist — especially if your teeth are impacted or close to nerves. Dr. Bethers is an OMFS and was extremely skilled and careful throughout my procedure.

A few things that made my recovery so smooth:

IV sedation — I was completely comfortable and slept through the entire surgery.

Exparel — a non-opioid medication that kept the area numb for about 72 hours, so I barely needed any pain medicine afterward.

PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) — they used my own blood to speed up healing, reduce swelling, and lower the risk of dry socket.

With those options and just ibuprofen, I had virtually no pain — which says a lot because I’m usually not great at dealing with discomfort.

The office was also fair with pricing; in fact, their quote was lower than what some general dentists gave me. The staff was kind, and Dr. Bethers took the time to explain everything clearly.

Now, two months later, I’m completely healed with no issues and really grateful for the quality of care I received. I’d absolutely recommend Sandstone to anyone needing wisdom teeth removal.

Had all 4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday. Staff was great, doctor thorough and called to check up a few hours after treatment. Healing has been amazing so far. I opted for IV sedation so the procedure was done in the blink of an eye, and the anesthesia wore off like 15 mins after I was feeling normal. I opted for platelet rich fibrin treatment and I feel like it’s been game changer for my smooth healing so far. Minimal swelling, no pain, eating soft foods no problem and not overly tired or uncomfortable at all. Super happy my dentist referred me here! I had a lot of dental anxiety before but everything’s been a breeze.

Wisdom tooth extraction was efficient, relatively pain-free and professional. Day after the surgery the pain and swelling is very minimal, pretty much nonexistent. Would highly recommend this place if you need a tooth extraction.
